02/12/2015 202/15 I would like to be sent a copy of all the most recent reports or surveys currently in the possession of the CCG concerning the viability of all or any of the buildings on the Babington Hospital site, including Belper Clinic, as a location for the NHS services currently provided there now and in the future. This means any documents which concern the state of the buildings, projected future state and projected costs of conversion to the required standards and whatever funding is or will be available to meet the costs.

This request was prompted by a reading of your document 'Joined Up Care in Belper'. On page 9 of the document it is stated that: “the buildings on site will not meet the standards required of a 21st Century healthcare facility for much longer and the cost of converting them may not be a good use of public funds”.

Clearly this means you have already decided that the buildings are deteriorating towards an unacceptable level and that you are considering the alternatives to converting the buildings. I would therefore also like to see any documentation on what alternatives are being considered, including the Derwent Street development led by Derbyshire County Council.
