From April 2013, Healthwatch took over the work of Local Involvement Networks (LINks). Healthwatch is the independent consumer champion created to gather and represent the views of the public. It will play a role at both national and local level to make sure that the views of the public and people who use services are heard.

Healthwatch is now recruiting Enter and View Volunteers
Enter and View is a way of seeing and hearing for yourselves how services are being run and collecting the views of users at the point of service delivery. Authorised Representatives are trained volunteers who enter a service, i.e. a care home, hospital, GP surgery etc, either announced or un-announced, to observe a provider’s practice in action. Findings reports are produced which are shared with providers and commissioners who can then respond to the recommendations contained in the report. Click here for further information.
