New STP Director for Joined Up Care Derbyshire

The Joined Up Care Derbyshire Board, which brings together senior officers from across the Derbyshire health and care system, is delighted to announce Vikki Taylor will join the system as STP Director.

Vikki Taylor will provide executive leadership for the Derbyshire STP from January 2018 to lead delivery of Joined Up Care Derbyshire, bringing with her the regulatory assurance role she currently undertakes within NHS England.

Dr Paul Wood, Chair of Joined Up Care Derbyshire, said: “We are delighted to have Vikki within the Derbyshire system. With an extensive knowledge of the national health and care system combined with her local experience and strong leadership, Vikki will support our system to implement the plans set out to transform health and care in Derbyshire.”

Vikki Taylor said: “I am honoured to be joining Derbyshire’s health and care system. I am committed to driving forward the great work that is already taking place to transform health and care in Derbyshire.

“It will be my responsibility to work with partners in developing and co-ordinating the work going forward to make the changes needed to ensure we deliver the best care, with the resources we have, for the citizens of Derbyshire.

Derbyshire’s STP is called ‘Joined Up Care Derbyshire’. It brings together twelve partner organisations and sets out ambitions and priorities for the future of the county’s health and care. All the organisations that provide health and care aim to work and plan much better together, focusing on new ways of working to:

- give people the best quality care; and

- run services well and make the most of available budgets.
