NHS Cyber Attack Update - Friday, 19 May 2017

Update: 19 May 2017, 3pm

The NHS was subject to a cyber-attack on Friday, 12 May 2017.

In Derbyshire, hospital systems have been up and running for most of the week and it is also business as usual in GP practices, with all practices now having their IT systems restored. Hospital and GP IT systems were turned off as a precaution last Friday which ensured no systems were infected by the attack.

The NHS is running as usual in Derbyshire, but the public is being asked to continue to be patient with services as they catch up with processing written records, to continue to use the NHS wisely and to remember they can also seek help and advice from a range of other sources such as pharmacies or 111.
